Crypoplasm preacher gain control target creature as long tapped magic

If I use a cryptoplasm thats a copy of a preacher to gain control of some creature. The next turn's upkeep, I have the Cryptoplasm become some other creature. Cryptoplasm is still tapped, but is no longer copying the preacher. Do I still have control of the creature I took control of?

Yes. The ability care about how long the creature remains tapped, not how long it remains a Preacher.

what if the Cryptoplasm gained control of a creature while copying Cytoplast Manipulator, and then the Cryptoplasm copies a different creature, does it retain control of that creature?
