If I use Vagrant Plowbeasts to put regeneration shield on creature -1/-1 counters mtg

If I use Vagrant Plowbeasts ability on creature with 5 power and then that creature gets a -1/-1 counter so it's power is less than 5, does the regen shield expire?

No. The creature only needs to have 5 or more power when you activate the ability, and when the ability resolves. After that, it doesn't matter if its power goes below 5 or even if it stops being a creature.

Although if in response to u usingbthat ability he casts something to lower power then it will counter ability from vagrant plow beast since target is not legal as it resolves

But once shield is on it then it stays no matter what like arix said

Yes. A regenerated permanent never actually leaves play.
