what sets are type ii standard now that mirrodin besieged is out?
Standard only rotates old sets out in October, when the 1st set of a new block is released. So, Mirrodin Besieged's release only adds itself into standard; nothing rotates out.
So, as a reminder, these are the currently legal sets for Type 2/Standard (for the record, "Type 1/2/etc." notations are no longer used officially):
- Magic 2011 core set
- Zendikar block (Zendikar, Worldwake, Rise of the Eldrazi)
- Scars of Mirrodin Block (Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, and the third set whenever it is released)
