   No. Squee didn't have the ability at the beginning of your upkeep, therefore the ability didn't trigger. By the time the Jailer's gone and Squee has the ability again, it's too late for it to trigger.

   A couple of things to point out, actually: - Only players receive poison counters; creatures receive infect/wither damage in the form of -1/-1 counters. - If a creature is sent to the graveyard...

   Pretty much, yeah. Do keep in mind though that if you're on 1 life when the Djinn deals damage to you, you'll lose the game before the Link's ability can save you.
