totem armor indestructible

not sure what happens when a indestructible creature with totem armor enchantment is targetted by a destroy target creature. the creature should be destroyed so the enchantment's totem armor would trigger. But the creature himself has indestructble. So is the totem armor used in this case?

i dont think this is a problem because if a creature is indestructible then you cant target it with a destroy target creature because you need to have legal targets for your spells

you can target idestructible stuff with destroy effects. but the destroy effect simply does not destroy.

now im not 100% sure after reading the wording in the comp. rules. its not clear to me if the "not destroyed" from indestr. is a replacement effect too since they dont use the word instead.

totem armor is a replacement effect, so if indestr. is not the totem armor will be sacrificed since it replaces the destroy befor indestr. is checked.

if indestr. is a replacement effect im not sure how the layering would work.

* If a creature enchanted with an Aura that has totem armor is indestructible, lethal damage and effects that try to destroy it simply have no effect. Totem armor won't do anything because it won't have to.

Josh (and the FAQ) is correct. The totem armour ability replaces the event of being destroyed. If a creature is indestructible, it would never be destroyed in the first place, therefore there's nothing for totem armour to replace.

Also note that totem armour isn't a triggered ability and doesn't use the stack.
