    how do i get rid of the windows live communications platform has stopped working error

    It pops up whenever I start windows live messenger!

    Are you using Service Pack 3?

    Try this, completely uninstall Windows Live Messenger (Don't worry your contacts are stored on M$ Servers, you won't lose them).

    Run CCleaner Download CCleaner 2.25.1025 - FileHippo.com Cleaner & Registry Repair.

    Reboot your PC, and Ensure that Windows is Up to Date (Windows Update).

    Reinstall Windows Live Messenger newest version here
    Download Windows Live Messenger 2009 (14.0.8089) - FileHippo.com
