Commodore 64 Text Adventures?
Anyone here also enjoyed playing text adventures on the C64?
For those who do not know, text adventures are - like it sounds - games that had only text in them, no visuals (though there were some with still images too). You would type in commands in English words, for example "Go West" or "Look at map".
It was more like reading a book, except you chose what to do. Like a Choose your Own Adventure book, but a lot more open ended. You could use and pick up stuff. They all had mysteries or puzzles of sort.
One of my favorites was one called pirate adventure, I think that was the one that I completed first. I'll post more titles I played as soon as I remember them, there were many cool ones

I remember I had a disk with a gold label and it had 4 text adventures on it which I liked to play but not sure what they were (cant find the disk anymore)
Re: Commodore 64 Text Adventures?
I found the names of the games I was looking for:
African Adventure
Pirate Adventure
King Tuts Tomb
These were pretty cool text adventures.

DON'T PANIC! ;v)

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of stalag 23 it was an awsome adventure game about a German prison camp.
Re: Commodore 64 Text Adventures?
The Pawn was absolutely amazing (had still graphics, very good graphics but just stills)
and for pure text I always loved Wizard's Casyle (I think the misspelling is on purpose, but not sure as it's been at least 15 years!)
