The rules say that you cannot mix and match between the factions in the same party.
(however if you are playing a casual game and really want to mix the factions, then go ahead and have fun...)
Yeah I looked at the rules and for regular tournament games (constructed play) you're not supposed to mix, but in Booster Draft play or Sealed Pack play you can mix factions.
But like Thrall said, if you are playing casually then there's nothing preventing you from mixing them.
