Since the playstation is around 14 years old, is it considered classic? Should there be a Sony thread in old-school games?

yeah Sony Playstation is pretty popular maybe sony should have a forum of its own
There's a good chance for a Sony forum due to the popularity of the PS1.
Been thinking about this for a while. The only reason why there isnt one already is because Sony has only 1 old school console (Or are there more?), the PS1. For example take Sega with the Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Sega Dreamcast... or Nintendo with the 3 Game Boy systems, the NES, and SNES... Atari has the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar... Then we have Sony with only the PS1 (The PS2 is kinda in the middle between being an old school and modern video game console)
But yes there's a good chance of a Sony Forum in the near future.

It would be nice if there was a thread for every company, then a big ol' 'the rest of gaming' thread
IT all depends on the popularity on demand. Every forum added has to be considered carefully, since its not good to have too many forums (too cluttered). Currently Atari, Commodore, Nintendo, Sega and PC/Macs have their own old school forums, ther rest have "The Arcade" forum. Sony might be added soon.

The Modern Video Games Forum has been split to the following sub forums:
Microsoft Xbox 360
Nintendo Wii DS
Sony PS2 PS3 PSP
Modern PC and Mac
And the parent forum which remains for General Modern Video Games, other systems, and cross platform games
