Default Game Gear TV tuner and Battery Pack

I bought a small Game Gear lot off ebay, and it included a rechargeable battery pack, and a TV tuner.

The TV tuner just gives me static (is this because of the digital transition?).

The battery seems to charge (plug it in my Genesis AV cord, and an orange light turns on), but when I try to use it, the Game gear doesn't turn on (it has 6 good batteries already in it).

Yeah I tend to forget about the digital transition as well DS. So no more Analog broadcasts = your tv tuner not working.

Do the Voltage and Amps match between the charger and cord?
Genesis Power Cord = DC Output 10Volts 12Amps.

They need to make a digital TV tuner for DS.
Ummm, my Genesis cord matches that, but the battery pack is at another house, I can't see it untill friday.
