can blue eye parents have brown eye child

I'm supposed to research for my genetics homework whether two blue eyed parents can have a brown eyed child.

I looked online, and the answers seem to be mixed though...

For example this article says that 2 blue eye people can have brown eyed child:

While this one says that they cannot:

More of the articles say they can, so thats what I'm inclined towards...

A friend of mine has brown eyes even though he has 2 blue eyed parents.

So either it is possible, or he is adopted
