How much is a Colecovision Kevtris cartridge worth?
How much is a Colecovision Kevtris cartridge worth?
Kevtris is a Limited Edition Homebrew, only 100 made, so it should be worth quite a lot. I'd say its worth around $300.
I agree, that one is pretty rare
Sounds about right
I was bored the other day and curious about what my videogame collection is worth... found this thread.
I bought Kevtris straight from the creator when he was selling them... I think I have #99 or #100/100. I let my friend borrow a bunch of ColecoVision games a long time ago, including Kevtris.
Apparently I need to call him and hope that his parents didn't throw away his ColecoVision stuff when he moved out :O
yeah that would definitely suck if they threw away your rare game that was made in such limited distribution![]()
I'm not positive, but I believe he sold them almost entirely through the IRC channel #rgvc. If I remember correctly, he used to have a website that he advertised it on too, along with information on all of the cool experiments he was doing.
I used to chat with him a lot and try to get him to build me Coleco multicarts, etc. I was in Jr. High at the time, and probably very annoying, but he was a real friendly guy. I remember once he agreed to flash Q-bert's Qubes on to a ColecoVision cart I had that had a removable chip, but I messed up removing the chip and the idea kind of fell by the wayside.
Anyway, I can't remember how much Kevtris cost, but I'm guessing $20. I think it also came with an instruction manual, which hopefully I still have.
I found his old website
I was right about the game being $20 + $3 shipping.
My friend just texted me and said it's in a box in his parents' attic. Good to know such a rare game didn't end up at the dump![]()
Very interesting, thanks for those links!
Yeah I would say Kevtris #1/100 is worth the most followed by Kevtris #100/100
I see Kevtris #68/100 is up on Ebay for $300:
Colecovision Homebrew Game Kevtris #68 of 100 - eBay (item 350033791517 end time Apr-30-09 15:48:47 PDT)
Yeah, I saw that. I guess another one went for about $330, one for $300, and one for $100 many years ago.
Today I was doing inventory on all of my games, manuals, and systems, and I found the original Kevtris instructions. There's a tear out of two corners from where I opened the package when I first received the game in the mail, so that's kind of disappointing. But at least I didn't throw it away![]()
Nice, probably worth at least 40% more with the instructions

Yeah I wonder how much more Kevtris is worth with the original instructions myself. I think that when I've these cartridges on Ebay or something, I only saw them loose without the instructions.
Too bad you didnt keep the original package it came in as well![]()
I could always visit the local landfill and see where they dumped the garbage from 13 years ago![]()
What type of package did it come in?
