It was just mailed in a plain Post Office box, I think. It didn't have a real box like a mass-produced game.

Here are a couple of posts from 1997 where the creator Kevin Horton is advertising the game for sale:
Kevtris done! - rec.games.video.classic | Google Groups
New Colecovision Game Still Available - rec.games.video.classic | Google Groups
What's included if you buy Kevtris:
1 cart: Cart is standard Colecovision cartridge with a nice professional
printed label.
1 instruction sheet
Each cart comes with it's own serial number, and the first 10 will be
'limited edition'. When you buy a cart, you are automatically entered into
a lottery-type drawing for a free upgrade to a limited-edition cart.
You get entered in the drawing for each cart you buy, so if you buy 2,
you get two entries into the drawing.
I will draw 10 names at random from all orders received to determine who
gets the first 10 carts. Each limited edition cart is signed by me,
and says 'Limited Edition: #xx/10' when the game is played.
Each cart is $20, plus shipping, which will run $3.50 for the first cart,
and $0.50 for each additional cart.
I'll also entertain trade offers, too.
So was there an additional limited edition set of 10 Kevtris cartridges signed by him? I've never seen one of those
Confused with so many different prices
I would also like to learn more about the signed Kevtris run of 10 cartridges. I've seen the xx/100 cartridges but I've never seen the x/10 Kevtris signed series. Can someone confirm that these exist?
I finally got the Kevtris back from my friend and took a few pictures. The top seems like it got a little bit moist, and has a little crinkling. Also, the "Kevtris" writing on the top label is flaking off... I guess the ink he used doesn't hold up to time all that well.
Check out my Flickr pictures I took of the game and the instructions.
So it is indeed Kevtris #100/100, sweet! thats definetly very rare!
Thanks, please keep us updated as to what he tells you
Well normally it would be worth around $300
Since its Kevtris #100/100 I think it raises the value of the cartridge by a lot. Since you also have the instructions, that raises its value even more. However the fact that the instructions are a bit torn and the fading off on the top label..those lower from its value a bit.
I'd estimate it to be worth about $500 in the end.
Hey Phil. I received a reply from Kevin Horton:
I sent him another e-mail asking if the 10 special copies were included in the 100 and he said:"Yes, I made 10 special copies which say which number they are on the title screen. I didn't sign them, however. BUT I did sign maybe 3 or 4 carts people owned. I did not make any other cartridges except one which is mine.
It's marked "0/100" and "kev's copy" on it. The ones with the colour labels of the title screen are illegal copies made by adam's house. I did not authorize them."
"There's 100 in circulation. 1-10 have the modified title screen. 11-100 have the normal title screen like the ROM I released on my web page.
0/100 is my personal copy, so there's 101 cartridges that were made."
Interesting! I was not aware that the first 10 cartridges had a different title screen.
Thanks for updating us!
So I guess this makes Kevtris #01/100 through Kevtris #10/100 the most valuable out of the set because of the different title screen
Would be nice to find one of those first 10 cartridges.
Do you know if the Kevtris 0/100 (Kevin Horton's copy) has the modified title screen?
From his email that was quoted above, it seems that only the copies from 1 to 10 have the modified screen, so it sounds like #0 not have it.

Sounds like it, but since it is his personal copy then its possible that it is modified in some way.
The quote said:
"1-10 have the modified title screen. 11-100 have the normal title screen like the ROM I released on my web page."
No mention of 0, so this the possibility of a modified title screen isnt ruled out, but maybe it was modified in a different way
I'm also thinking its got to have SOME modification, being his own personal copy
Someone should ask him maybe
