    The hearts indicate the basic level of affection the Pokemon feels for you. 1 small heart simply means it growing fond of you. 2 small hearts means it's starting to like you. 2 big hearts means it likes you (and generally, a Happiness evolution can be triggered with little or no more effort).
    Finally, a new generation of Pokemon for us to enjoy. There is much to look forward to in 2011!
