    can u buy EVs or farm EVs on pokemon platinum?

    You gain EVs whenever a Pokemon gains Exp. It is more farming to max out a particular stat. You can buy items that will give your Pokemon EVs when the item is used on them. I would recommend reading these articles to see the rest of it:
