The Pickup ability improves every 10 levels. So a Pokemon with Pickup at level 51 will have better luck getting getting particular items than a level 41 Pokemon. Level 100 offers the best stuff obviously.
Finally, a new generation of Pokemon for us to enjoy. There is much to look forward to in 2011!
