Whats better move for my umbreon payback or assurance

Payback and assurance both seem similar which is better for umbreon or do i need them both?

Which one depends on the kind of battles it will be participating in.

If singles, use Payback, as Umbreon needs the opponent to act for its full power to be unleashed.

If for Double-battle, choose Assurance. It's power boost when used on a Pokemon that has already been damaged.
