how does the pokemon mix battle option work?

It's a very fun format, you select 3 of your pokemon to enter the battle, and your friend also selects 3 of his pokemons to enter the battle.

Then, you choose one of his pokemon to join your party, and he chooses one of yours to join his

so basically you have 2 of your pokemon and 1 of his poekmon in your team, against 2 of his pokemon and 1 of your pokemon in his team
