how do i get to the top of amity square on pokemon platinum

I am assuming you are after the top pokeball.

Enter Amity Square from the NORTHEAST entrance.

Enter the old buildings/cave that you see, but dont go straight, instead turn RIGHT just after entering the building. Once you do that you will get to another place with old building. Enter and turn RIGHT again. Do that for a couple of times and you will end up where the top pokeball is. Get the Pokeball and now enter ruins back and go STRAIGHT to get back to Amity Square Entrance.
