    This item is used for evolution. Only a few Pokemon use it, but usually worth it:
    From Pokemon Platinum Evolution Stones Guide

    Thunder Stone
    Sunyshore, Unearth in the Underground, Solaceon Ruins & Route 229 w/ Drowsing App.
    Eevee (Thunder Stone) --> Jolteon
    Pikachu (Thunder Stone) --> Raichu
    Finally, a new generation of Pokemon for us to enjoy. There is much to look forward to in 2011!
