    does your pokemon in daycare center gain levels even when you are not playing Pokemon platnium?

    Unfortunately, no. The Pokemon will only gain experience when your character is moving around. There is no other way that the Pokemon will gain experience in the Daycare.
    Finally, a new generation of Pokemon for us to enjoy. There is much to look forward to in 2011!
