Definitely give Infernal Contract and Cruel Bargain a shot; they'll both allow you to draw four cards. And Yawgmoth's Will isn't a bad idea.

ok 1st. i would never play stuff that is on the vintage restrict list in anything but vintage decks (with the exception of brainstrom, ponder, thirst for knowlage and fact or fiction).

2nd this is a pauper deck so commons only ...

im very well aware of how to build a proper storm deck if you dont restrict yourself ... that why i love the challenge of only paying commons. seriously if you take the easy route how much will you achivment be worth ?

Hahaha, my bad, I read that it's made of commons and assumed you wanted to add rares/uncommons in. Didn't realize it was straight pauper, my bad.

Anyway, there's got to be something better than Compulsive Research. Brainstorm? Sleight of Hand? Impulse?

You have no need for cards in the GY since you get Threshold from things like your saclands, Lotus Petals, and played spells.

all of the cards you mentioned have been tested ^^. they work ok but they dont generate more cards only card quality. since you need a higher stomrcount than tendrils or a second grapeshot, draw three discard land turned out to be excelent. also brainstorm, whilst amazing almost everywhere, is not that impressive in pauper. you lack enough realy good ways to shuffle your library (usually only 4 terramorphics) to use them to thier full potential ...

pauper has its own bizzar rules ^^ like you would think burn is the best deck because its almost exactly the legacy build but at the moment its not even tier 1 ^^
