how much land should a 90 card magic deck have
Most recommend 1/3 land, so 30 cards for a 90 card deck.
The standard for a 60 card deck is around 24. 90 is 1.5 times 60, 1.5 times 24 is 36, so there you go.
Oh, and in before "no deck should be that big".
why do u need so many cards in deck
if you said 99/100 i would have guessed EDH ;)
I love it when people criticize a deck for being too big. In casual play there's nothing wrong with it all. I run a 90 card control deck, and I do great with it. It isn't all about how many cards you have in your deck, its about what cards you have in your deck. I mean I understand by running a 60 card deck you have a greater chance of drawing the cards you want. But I'm not in the practice of asking my opponents what kind of deck they run, then adjusting mine to combat theirs. Having a 90 card deck is great for standing up to any foe. Besides, I find it a bore to try to eliminate as much chance as possible and run decks with 4 repeats of nearly every card. 29 basic lands is what I run, plus a seraph sanctuary and 2 evolving wilds. Thats plenty of mana for a lowdrop deck.
