how do you decide number of lands in deck in magic
how do you decide number of lands in deck in magic
generally for type 2 its 24 lands. you just figure out the curve of each color according to the mana cost of your deck. if your playing type 2 mono colored (highly unreccomended) you can prolly pull off 20-22. In legacy depending on your color you can run anywhere from 18 to 20. so in conclusion
Legacy: 18-20
Mono Colored Type 2 : 20-22
Multicolor Type 2: 24-26. Curve colors based on mana costs in your deck
dont agree on your legacy land count at all.
belcher - 2
ichorid - 11
tendrils ~10-12
grow, meathooks other 3-4 color agro control - 18
burn - 18
goblins - 20-22
landstill - 24
meerfolk - 20
loam (all variants) - 27-43
survival - 18-22
i could go on but it realy depends on what deck your playing and has nothing to do with the number of colors at all. tendrils can be 4 colored with 11 lands as can a loam deck that plays 4 colored and 27 lands or meathooks that is also 4 colored and plays 18 lands ... so to say 4 -colored decks play 11, 18 or 27 lands would all be false ...
