How Important is a Fetchland? I could understand a fetchland in Jund (since your using a tri-color deck). But how important are they in a Mono or 2 Color deck?

for mono colors they are not good but for more then 1 color they are good since if you dont have enough lands of one color you can use it to bring a land of the color you need
they are very good. sometimes even in mono-colored decks. in standard you need them in vampires for instance for the deckshuffeling. Vampire Nocturnous is the reason. the only non-black cards you play are lands. if you reveal one just fetch. after shuffling you often end up with a black card on top. in other formats they also serve to shuffle away stuff you dont need. for instance you play Brainstorm and put the 2 cards you need the least from you hand on top of your library and then shuffle them away with a fetchland.
so anything 2 or more colored they are realy good but you see them in mono-colored also if the deck can make good use of the free shuffeling effect.
Fetchlands are also good for triggering landfall--you get two landfall triggers for the price of one land.
Also keep in mind their deck-thinning capabilities. Many monocoloured decks run them for that reason alone.
Fluttershy is best pony.
that is a factor. though the discussion wether that alone is worth 1 life has been vivid since onslaught and has picked up again due to zendikar ... the short version is deckthining vs pay 1 life ends in a draw. you can pick wich ever you feel better with. if someone tells you that you always have to go one way or another on that subject, accept that that is his oppinion and then make up your own mind
