    there is no answer to that. r/g-agro in pauper can get away with as little as 18 lands. in legacy it needs 20/21 in standard you would want 23, in vintage you play only 19 and 9 of them produce neither red nor green mana.

    see it all depends on context. the example i gave above is all more or less the same deck. it plays the same way just the creatures and burnspell varie a little.

    if you tell me what deck you are playing in what format than i can tell you how many lands you want in that very deck.

    as for casual. anything between 18 and 26 is viable. in casual you dont need to always have good draws so you can use fewer lands to play more fun stuff. on the other hand if poor land draws frustrate you you can jsut play more lands because beiing mana flooded every other game is not the end of the world either. you can not applie a fixed rule to casual deckbuilding. there is no wrong or right because the only goal is fun not winning. some choices may make your deck worse but let you have more fun. for a tournament deck such a choice is a no-go. for casual that is totaly fine.
