The best way is to play them in sleeves.

Really? I find shuffling with sleeves a whole lot easier than without.

I know I'm a little off topic now, but I shuffle cards like a shifty-eyed greasy card shark haha...and you can't really do that with sleeves...they all fall over each other and go everywhere...

Ah. I just do the thing where you cut the deck and then slide the two halves into each other, which sleeves make a hell of a lot easier (and protect the cards while doing so, to be a little more on-topic with the thread).

Well, I have a lot of badly marked up cards...you should see the four Pithing Needles I have in my Myr deck (in there just for good measure)...good God...there are hardly anymore sides to them...I think the value of ithem went from 9 bucks right down to nothing...its ok though...they got wrecked by wrecking everything else...

Running sleeves is the best way to keep people from doing that, although I know alot of people (especially in EDH) that don't sleeve their cards.

I sleeve mine because I want my 12 dollar card to be worth 12 bucks if I ever want to sell or trade them, but different strokes for different folks.
