what to do if I have an arrow stuck in my body?

My Skyrim character has an arrow stuck in his body and it wont go away. I traveled, slept at an inn for 24 hours, even exit the game and came back but it's still there. Is there no way to get rid of it or am I stuck with an arrow in my body for the rest of the game?

same for me, bit in my case it's an ice shard stuck inside my character!

This is what worked for me:
I found another emeny archer and got him to shoot me a lot in the same location where my arrow is stuck

then I killed him. Then the new arrows diappeared, along with the old ones!
