    Yes, it will.

    Not that it'll do much good, since it only lasts a turn and it can't attack that turn, but it can matter for other Allies.

    It could be useful in conjunction with other effects.

    If you had a way to give it Haste, it could matter, or if you had a way to put it out on your opponent's turn, you could block flying creatures with it.
