Default Question about taking control of a creature with enchantments on it.

If my opponent has a creature with the "Claws of Valakut" enchantment on it (Enchanted creature gets +1/+0 for each Mountain you control and has first strike), and I cast "mind control" to take control of that creature:
    1) Does the enchantment also come under my control? If not, what happens to it?
    2) If I get the enchantment as well, does the "you" on the card refer to me or still refer to my opponent? In other words, does the creature still get the bonus based off of the mountains my opponent owns or does it depend on the ones (if any) I own?

    1) You gain control of the creature but not the enchantment. However, the enchantment is still attached to the creature so you still get the bonuses from the enchantment

    2) not sure about this one... since opponent still control the enchantment am guessing "you" still refers to him, and the bonus will be based on the mountains he controls.. maybe Arix can verify...

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Follow up question:

What is the significance of the enchantment still being owned by the opponent? I could understand if it was an equipment artifact because then he/she would probably want to equip it on another creature to take it away from me.

...Are there cards that allow someone to shift an enchantment from one spot to another?

Controller of enchantment can make a difference with cards such as Freed from the Real

(controller of enchantment can activate tap and untap ability regardless of who controls the creature)

    also Armadillo Cloak

(Controller of enchantment will gain the life regardles of who controls the creature)

Ah ok that makes sense. I think I found part of the answer in the huge list of rules as well:

303.4e An Aura's controller is separate from the enchanted object's controller or the enchanted player; the two need not be the same. If an Aura enchants an object, changing control of the object doesn't change control of the Aura, and vice versa. Only the Aura's controller can activate its abilities. However, if the Aura grants an ability to the enchanted object (with "gains" or "has"), the enchanted object's controller is the only one who can activate that ability.

So if I understand this correctly, in your example of armadillo cloak, my opponent would still be able to use the "gain that much life" part with me having no say in the matter, but I'd still be able to use the +2/+2 part.

Now here is the confusing part, my example of Claws of Valakut reads "Enchanted creature gets +1/+0 for each Mountain you control and has first strike". When I take control of the creature with Mind Control, I am in control of the +1/+0 part because it effects the "object" (creature). Does that mean that the entire statement on the card is under my control and hence it is based on the mountains I control, or am I only in control of the application of the +1/+0 part and "you" still means the "owner" of the aura?

The bonus still applies to the creature, but since your opponent still controls the enchantment, the "you" refers to him, so it counts his Mountains.

does this mean if I put a Barbed Field on a land I dont control then I can tap it since I control the enchantment (and the ability)?

No. Barbed Field gives the ability to the land, meaning only whoever controls the land can use the ability.
