Rampant Growth doesn't make you play the land, it just puts it straight into play.

You still can only play 1 land; however like arix said with rampant growth you are not "playing" a land but rather putting it into play directly, so it doesnt count against your limit.

So to keep it simple , yes you can play a land, then play rampart growth which puts a second land into the battlefield resulting in you having put out 2 lands in the same turn
