when you copy a creature does it trigger enter the battlefield effects?

That depends. Is a copy of the creature actually entering the battlefield, like with Clone or Spitting Image? If so, then yes. Or is a creature already in play becoming a copy of another, like Vesuvan Shapeshifter? Then no.
