    Creature types don't have any specific rules meaning. A Spirit is no different to an Elf or a Dragon or a Starfish. If the Spirit in question has flying or reach, then it can block a flier. Otherwise, it can't.

    and even if creature types did have a meaning ... wich they dont ... why should that mean flying ??? it would be a lot more thematic if they could not block at all due to thier immaterial nature ...
