For the same reason they are a wall, the are ALL creature types.

Because Walls don't have any specific rules attached to them. Just being a Wall doesn't mean it can't attack. Having the keyword defender means it can't attack.

I think youre wrong because I have a Wall of Hope and Wall of Spears and both cards specifically say Walls can't attack

No, I'm not wrong. Those cards are outdated. Under the old rules, yes, Walls couldn't attack. But that's not how it works anymore. If you don't believe me, check the Oracle (updated wording) of those cards - Wall of Hope.
