    Default Level up rulings vampire hexmage Ikiral Outrider vigilance attack magic

    If opponent attacks me with a level 1 Ikiral Outrider can I in response sacrifice Vampire Hexmage and force the Outrider to tap?

    No. Vigilance only matters when the creature has been declared as an attacker. Once it's been declared as an attacker, suddenly losing vigilance won't cause it to tap.
