    yea you can play it but dunno if it prevents damage from before if tahts what you mean

    You can, but it won't affect the damage in question. Safe Passage only prevents damage that would be dealt, it does nothing against damage that's already been dealt.

    Sure. As long as it resolves before the damage is dealt, it'll work.
