fact or fiction face up or face down? Magic faq rulings
Fact or fiction says:
Reveal the top five cards of your library. An opponent separates those cards into two piles. Put one pile into your hand and the other into your graveyard. It doesn't specify whether to put the piles face up or face down before choosing

Keep in mind that things like that tend to be face up by default. If they're mean tto be face down, it will spell that out on the card.
