Mtg can you counterspell lands with some ability?
Do you mean Stifle?
Playing a land doesn't use the stack -- the land simply goes from your hand to the battlefield, and the land is already there by the time any player receives priority.
There is nothing you can do to stop a player from playing a land. Once it's on the battlefield, however, you can destroy land with various effects (Strip Mine, Stone Rain, Armageddon), or cause them to be sacrificed (Wildfire, Death Cloud, etc.)
If land would be put onto the battlefield as the result of a spell/ability, then of course you can counter that spell or ability to prevent the land from being put on the battlefield. For example, you can use Voidslime to counter a Cultivate, or to counter the activated ability of a Sakura-Tribe Elder.
Don't forget you can also Stifle non-mana activated abilities of lands.
Not to complicate things, but there is Turf Wound, if you want to waste the card slots. There is nothing you can do to stop a player from playing a land.
But Turf Wound doesn't stop people from playing a land if they're already playing one.
No, but it's the only thing that comes to mind that stops players from playing land at all.
