No. Meddling Mage has a static ability, which is only applied while it is on the battlefield, and not a moment longer. As soon as Meddling Mate has left the battlefield, the named card can be cast again.

If it was meant to last the rest of the game, its wording would explicitly say so. Also, the last ruling in its Gatherer entry (click on the card's autolink) clarifies this for you as well.
