Default Death’s Presence rules and Pack Rat magic

If I have Death’s Presence out

and I have four rats out

one of them is a Pack Rat

if pack rat dies, do I get 3 or 4 counters?

Death's Presence checks the creature's power as it last existed on the battlefield. At that point, Pack Rat was a 4/4, so it gives four counters.

Once it's actually in the graveyard, yes. But as I said, Death's presence doesn't care about what the creature is in the graveyard - it cares about what the creature was when it was last on the battlefield. Pack Rat leaves the battlefield as a 4/4 creature. There's never a point where it was on the battlefield as a 3/3.
