does regenerate remove trample damage?

if a creature with trample and 5 power attacks a creature with 3 toughness, and the smaller creature regenerates, is the 2 trample damage also removed from player

I dunno but fyi they don't like it here when you say that a creature attacks another creature because you can only attack players and planeswalkers, you better off saying that the smaller creature was blocking the bigger one

There is no such thing as "trample damage". Trample just changes how damage is assigned. And no, regenerating a blocker won't remove any damage that tramples over to you.
