Default are the bringers of dawn multicolored

are the bringers of dawn considered multicolored because of their ability?

No. A card's colour is determined by its mana cost (or text/indicator that says otherwise).

Nope. It is always the color indicated by its mana cost in the upper-right corner of the card, or its color indicators -- just like Arix just said.

Alternate casting costs have nothing to do with the colors that a creature is considered. The Bringers of the [Color] Dawn are not multicolored creatures. Although, their color identity includes all 5 colors, for the purposes of using them in EDH/Commander.

Remember, a card's "mana cost" has nothing to do with what you actually paid for them - it's the cost written in the upper-right corner of the card, nothing more.
