Err...That's phrased a bit vaguely. Do you mean, "what happens when I exile a card in response to a spell or ability that targets it?"

If that's the case, the answer is "yes." When an object changes zones, it is treated as a new object with no memory of, or relation to its former self. So, even though the physical card is the same, any spell/ability that was trying to target it will have no target any longer, and that spell/ability will be countered if that object was its only target.

If you meant something else entirely, please clarify.
