It dies and goes to your graveyard. Sword of Kaldra can only exile the creature if it's still in play by the time the ability resolves.

but after it dies doesnt ability which is now on the stack trigger and send it from graveyard to exile? so the more accurate answer is that it dies, then it goes to graveyard?
No, the ability can only exile it if it's in play.

because the way i understood it from reading stuff on the forum is:
1) creature equipped with the sword attacks and kill another creature
2) other creature dies of state based effects because it took lethal damage and goes to graveyard
3) ability of sword goes on the stack
4) ability of sword resolves
5) creature now is exiled
??
That's right except for the last step. The Sword's ability can't track the creature to the graveyard. If the creature isn't in play by the time the ability resolves, the ability fails to find the creature, so it doesn't get exiled.

Thanks, I have another question:
if the sword is equipped to a Sisters of Stone Death
and lets say the Sisters attack and is blocked by some creature, damaging that creature (but not killing it) so it's exiled because of the sword (not from the Sisters ability)
Will I be able to use the Sister's third ability to put that creature in the battlefield under my control?
No. The Sisters' third ability can only return creatures exiled by the first ability.

but the ability says
Put a creature card exiled with Sisters of Stone Death onto the battlefield under your control
it doesnt seem to care how the creature was exiled only that it was exiled by stone death sisters? so why cant u use it? it doesnt say Put a creature card exiled with the ability of Sisters of Stone Death onto the battlefield under your control
And the Sisters would not be the thing exiling, the Sword would.but the ability says
Put a creature card exiled with Sisters of Stone Death onto the battlefield under your control
Also, the Sisters have linked abilities, which means the third ability refers onl to cards exiled by the second.

what does linked abilities mean
This:607.1. An object may have two abilities printed on it such that one of them causes actions to be taken or objects to be affected and the other one directly refers to those actions or objects. If so, these two abilities are linked: the second refers only to actions that were taken or objects that were affected by the first, and not by any other ability.

If in response to exile ability going on the stack I gave creature protection from artifacts, would it still be exiled?
Yes.

but void elemental said the equipment is whats exiling the creature?
It is, but it's not doing anything that protection protects against (damage, attach, block, target).

even though its triggered by damage?
Yup. The creature's the one that dealt the damage, not the Sword.

If I use Oracle's Attendants and send damage to them, assuming the attendants are not killed, which creature is exiled the original creature or the attendants?
