    do creatures die if they have cumulative upkeep and u cant pay it

    Yup. If you can't pay the cost, you have to sacrifice the permanent.

    is sacrificing same as dieing like does it trigger Deathgreeter?

    "Dies" just means "is put into a graveyard from the battlefield". It doesn't matter how it happens.

    For Deathgreeter, it says "is put into a graveyard from the battlefield", so yes, it triggers it. However, if a creature dies in combat, it does not trigger anything that says "sacrificed", but Deathgreeter's ability still is activated.

    Cumulative upkeep (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)

    It is a sacrifice Just to let you know, so if It That Betrays is on the field your opponent would get what you sacrificed from the accumulative upkeep.
