Can Inferno deal damage to a Planeswalker?

Can I cast Inferno if I want to deal damage to a planeswalker?

Yes. Any time a source you control would deal noncombat damage to an opponent, you can choose to redirect that damage to their planeswalker instead. A few things to note:

1. You have to redirect the damage from your opponent. This means you can either damage your opponent or their planeswalker - not both.
2. If you redirect the damage, you have to redirect all of it - you can't split it between them.
3. If your opponent controls multiple planeswalkers, you can only redirect the damage to one of them. And, again, you can't split the damage between them.
4. You can't redirect the damage from yourself onto your planeswalker.
