Hello.
I participated in my first cube draft last night and an interesting combat interaction came up with Puppeteer Clique and Kitchen Finks.
Player A attacked with Kitchen Finks.
Player B blocked with Puppeteer Clique.
Damage is dealt and they both go to graveyard.
Their persist triggers go on the stack.
Our group wasn't sure if they each returned to the battlefield at the same time under their owner's control, or if...
Active Player A's (Finks) persist trigger goes on the stack.
Non-active Player B's (Puppeteer) persist trigger goes on the stack.
Puppeteer's persist trigger resolves, returning Puppeteer to battlefield.
Puppeteer's enter the battlefield trigger goes on the stack. It resolves.
Player B is able to target the Finks that is still in Player A's graveyard, netting both creatures (and gaining 2 life from Finks ETB trigger).
The remaining persist trigger on the stack from Player A's Finks is countered as the Finks is no longer in the grave.
Puppeteer Clique has a -1/1 counter. Finks does not (but will be exiled at the beginning of Player B's next end step).
I searched for a similar interaction online but could not find one.
