does a Transcendence stack? I mean if I had two of them and I lost 1 life, would I gain 4 life instead?

Yeah, each one will trigger whenever you lose life. Not recommended.

Also: it's not instead. This is something that catches a lot of people out about Trancendence - it does not replace losing 1 life with gaining 2. You lose one life, Trancendence triggers, and when that resolves, you gain 2 - a net gain of 1 life. False Cure is the same.
