The situation I am talking about is a Muraganda Petroglyphs in play. Will Imperiosaur get a bonus? since the text on Imperiosaur just says what type of mana can be spent on it, it doesnt give him any powers

It won't get the bonus. Anything written in the text box that isn't flavour text or reminder text is considered an ability.

No, since Asha's Favor grants it abilities.

Pay attention though, not all Auras grant abilities. For example, a vanilla Saproling enchanted by Indestructibility, Oakenform, or Spirit Link would still receive the Petroglyphs bonus.
