rulings i play wildfire Each player sacrifices four lands can i choose what lands

If I play wildfire:

Wildfire
4RR
Sorcery
Each player sacrifices four lands. Wildfire deals 4 damage to each creature.

Do I get to choose which lands other player sacrifices? Because I was playing with a friend earlier and he said that each of us chooses for ourselves but I figure that since I played the spell I get to choose?

each player chooses wich land he / she want to sacrifice. you control the spell but the spell only tell your opponents to sacrifice some of thier stuff and (put simple) it is still them doing the sacrificing.

oh ok thanks too bad he had lots of forests and only 4 islands so he just sacrificed some of the forests if it had worked the other way round then i wouldve told him to sacrifice the islands and maybe i couldve won because then he couldnt counter or mess with any of my spells anymore

true wildfire would be better if it worked that way, sadly it does not.
